What happened to TabletopTown Tokens?

FAQ

Unfortunately, with the global shrinking of the gaming industry among other challenges, TabletopTown has transitioned from a bootstrapped company with full time employees to a small, indie moonlighting project with a handful of founders.

In an effort to reduce costs and preserve the long-term potential of TabletopTown, The token based system for buying and selling games has been removed.

All players can continue to use outstanding tokens to get existing games on the marketplace, but moving forward, paid content on the marketplace will no longer be publishable and will slowly be removed from the store. Creators are still more than welcome to list their own games on the marketplace, but for the foreseeable future will not be able to sell them for tokens.

We built TabletopTown to be the very best way to use your phone to create new games, invent new worlds, and–maybe while you’re on your lunch break–play to find out what happens. Supporting us on Ko-Fi allows us to continue building new features, new games, and to pay our server bills.

If you would like to request a refund for previously purchased tokens and are unable to do so with the app store refund system, send us an email in the form below with the email associated with the account and any relevant notes.
