When tokens are spent in the marketplace, 30% of the token amount goes to TabletopTown to cover maintaining the platform and paying the TabletopTown team.

100 tokens pays $1USD
Customers pay about $1.40-2 (USD) per 100 tokens to handle 15-30% in-app purchase transaction fees and TabletopTown’s operating costs.

Frequently Asked Questions
These are the most common questions about selling content on the TabletopTown marketplace.
How does TabletopTown charge fees?
Customers buy token packs, which are priced roughly $1.40-2.00 usd per 100 tokens. Each time tokens are spent, TabletopTown charges 30% commission to the tokens sent to the creator. Tokens can be paid out at a rate of 100 tokens/$1.00 usd with a transaction fee of 3.49% + $0.49 per payout.
iPhone and Android App stores don’t allow open marketplaces for digital goods unless Apple or Google have an ownership stake in the app, like Apple Books. The price of TabletopTown Tokens translates between in-app purchases and paying creators, accounting for app store fees and allowing for in-app transactions.
Unfortunately, in order to have a mobile focused experience, we need to comply with App Store guidelines. A token based in-app purchase system both complies with the required policies and is something gamers are already familiar with. We are explicitly against ever integrating addictive, gambling or other malicious design strategies into our use of tokens.
How can I be paid by TabletopTown?
A more automated payments system is coming soon, but for now, the payouts tab has a request payments tool. Add your Paypal account and request a token payout.
Does TabletopTown do licensing agreements?
We are interested in publishers of original games and game expansions (like 5th edition compatible publishers). Please reach out to us directly at partners@tabletop.town to get more information about our licensing agreement tools.
How do I setup a storefront on TabletopTown?
It’s easy. If you don’t already have a TabletopTown account, create a new one in the mobile app for Android or iPhone. Then in the web creator, go to the Storefront page and submit your profile with a name, bio, profile picture, and banner image.
