    TabletopTown puts game night in your pocket. An asynchronous, casual play-style means that you can play games at your own pace, on your time. Everything you need to play is available for free, with a premium subscription and creator marketplace for upgraded and customized content.

  • About Us

    TabletopTown (Delaware C-corp) is the first project of Little Book Studio, an indie game studio backed by worker owned equity.

    Little Book Studio was formed to give positions of leadership and organizational power to people with underrepresented identities (including gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity, body condition, and other identifiers).

    TabletopTown is currently available for download from both Google Play and the App Store with our first season of independent ttrpgs Beach Day Episode live on our marketplace. We are happy to announce the imminent launch of both Pathfinder, 2nd edition, and our second season, Dungeons & Detectives.

  • Pricing

    TabletopTown will be free to play, with no ads. Core rule sets for tabletop roleplaying games covered under various licenses will also be available for free on the TabletopTown marketplace.

    Additional content will be available to buy on the TabletopTown marketplace.

    Indie game creators will be able to build their own games, campaign modules, or avatar packs and list them on the market to receive tokens, which can be paid out in cash.

    TabletopTown is also introducing premium features under TabletopTown+, a subscription service.

  • Why Tokens?

    We’d much rather have an open marketplace and just pay creators directly. Token based game systems are often associated with gambling industry practices intentionally designed to exploit players through addictive design.

    Unfortunately, in order to have a mobile focused experience, we need to comply with App Store guidelines, which prohibit the direct sale of digital goods in an open marketplace. A token based in-app purchase system both complies with the required policies and is something gamers are already familiar with. We are explicitly against ever integrating addictive, gambling or other malicious design strategies into our use of tokens.
